Outfit dilemma!!

Megan's birthday is on Saturday and I'm in a total mess trying to decide what to wear! I don't know whether to buy a new outfit, or wear something I already have to save money. I have been looking on new look, River Island, Topshop and even ebay trying to find something I can afford because I'm completely skint!

I really like this black skirt from New Look. It is high waisted and has a really nice belt with it. You can also get it in burgundy.

This is the first outfit of 2 that I but together. I really like this black skirt from New Look. It is high waisted and has a really nice belt with it. Because it's black, you can pair it with anything, so I could wear it at any time I wanted to! You can also get it in burgundy. I also like this pale dusty peach coloured shirt. If you look at the link, you will notice that it has silver pearls and normal pearl beads on the tips of the collar. I think this is very feminine and will go with a lot of different outfits. I already own these burgundy wedge heels and they're surprisingly very comfortable. Because they're burgandy, I've found it hard to match them with other outfits. However I love them with this outfit. The ring I thought was very pretty and that was also from New Look. The last item is a discontinued Stila lipstick in the colour Flushed. I found this in a clearance shop for 99p!!

This is outfit 2

This outfit is a bit more pricey. I would change the 'lita' dupes for my burgundy heels from the last outfit, because it would match. I'm also money-less at the minute and I know my mam wouldn't buy me them shoes, I would have to buy them myself. (there is also a cheaper pair from internationale that I may get my mam to buy me) The dress is a very pretty, two patterned, peter pan collared dress. It looks like a very floaty fabric, therefore very flattering. I absolutely love this rose gold cross necklace. It would go very well with all different outfits. Everything shown from River Island.

Hope this blog post was helpful, it took me ages to write! I'll do an outfit of the night on Saturday, showing you I eventually chose to wear!

£1 Bargain Nail Varnish!!

After my all time fave glitter nail varnish ran out a few months ago, I have been looking for a new one that was just as good. I was so so happy when I found this silver glitter nail varnish for £1 at a shop called 'Boyes'. It was from the L.A colours stand and it is in the range called 'colour craze'

I thought this would take like 5 coats to build up, but surprisingly, it only takes 2! It looks beautiful on my nails and I'll probably repurchase when I use it all up!

Current obsession- Primark Pastel Jumper

Primarks autumn/winter is always my fave! I just love all of the cosy coats, pj's amd jumpers they get in and I always want to buy every single cosy item of clothing in there! Last week I was very happy when I came across this beautiful multi-coloured pastel jumper for only £14!
(The camera really doesn't do it justice!)
This is probably one of my fave Primark finds along with my super cosy, christmas pj bottoms. I also love the fact that you don't have to wear a coat because its so warm, cosy and snug! I might do an OOTD and include this soon so I'll show you how I'd wear it.

Also, another autumn/winter range that has really caught my eye is Lana Del Reys' collection at H&M. I love Lana Del Rey and after seeing her fashion range, I want to buy every jumper in the collection!
My fave is this one. I may have to persuade my mam to buy me this as I'm hard up at the moment and I already owe her £10. Oops.

Anyway, hopefully I'll be buying all the cosy jumpers and cardigans that I love very soon!

Products I Regret Buying

Hello,

Today's blog post is about terrible products. I love reading and watching videos like this because it is helpful if I want to buy that product. This has been done by many other people before on youtube and on blogspot so I thought I would follow in the trend!

1.Lipcote- I only bought this on Sunday, but I know for a fact I will not be using it again. Basically, what it is, is a top coat for your lipstick, which apparently is meant to smell like vanilla. Instead of it smelling like vanilla, it smells of chemicals. I don't know about you, but I do not like the idea of putting something so high in chemicals on my lips. And just when you think it can't get any worse, it does. The taste is absolutely revolting. It tastes literally like I am putting nail varnish remover on my lips. I must admit, it does what it says it does, until you decide you need another coat of lipstick. When you want to put another coat on, the lipcote becomes all bitty under your second coat of lipstick, leaving a horrible gritty feel on your lips.

2.Miners Vanilla 'Tin o Tint'- Now this product isn't terrible. Firstly, it is meant to be a tint and it literally is the colour of concealer, so when you wear it, it looks like you have foundation lips. There is nothing wrong with the formula or anything, for me, I just cant stand the smell. I bought this thinking that it would be just a hint of vanilla, but no. The smell is very overpowering and is way to sweet for my liking. I also have the cherry and watermelon versions, and I absolutely love them. I think its my fault for buying a scent it don't like :s

3.Sleek Dip it Eyeliner- This eyeliner is absolutely terrible!!!!! I decided on this eyeliner when I bought it because I thought because its Sleek, it will be good quality and worth the money. I used it for a few weeks, then one day, it clicked that it was making my eyelids sting like mad! I immediately stopped using it as I knew it couldn't be good for my eyes. My advice is, if you have sensitive eyelids, don't waste your money on this

4.Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel liner- Again, a terrible eyeliner! It feels like you are dragging a crayon across your eyelid when you apply it. I've tried mixing the top of the eyeliner up a little bit, which worked for a short while, but it started to go thick and crayon-like again. It also acts like a pencil liner because it smudges during the day.

5.Bourjois eyeshadow in 03- The first thing that hit me about this eyeshadow was the colour. It seems so bright and so in your face to wear normally. However I swatched this when I bought it on my finger and I discovered the lack of pigment in it. Basically, if you swipe your finger across it a few times, the least amount of colour comes from it. It would be OK as a lighter blue, but if you're looking for an electric blue eyeshadow, this is not the one to go to.

6.Maybelline Expertwear Blush in Rosewood- I bought this in a rush really. I was shopping with my mam and she couldn't be bothered to traipse around boots looking for a blusher, so I quickly tested this on my hand and it seemed fine. I thought it had loads of pigment until the first time I used it, the next day. When I swirled the brush around in the product, nothing was coming onto the brush! I had to switch brushes and literally pack it on to my cheeks to get the slightest bit of colour out of it.

So yeah, they're my products I regret buying. I hope this was somewhat helpful :) My next post will be up within a few days and it will be a current fashion fave :)

Summer Favourites!

Hello!

So now that summer is over and the winter months are upon us, I wanted to share some summer beauty favourites with you :)

So during summer, I have really been liking lining the tightline of my eyelid, so my eyelashes look thicker. I have particularly been liking the GOSH velvet touch eyeliner in Black Ink. It seems to apply so smoothly and doesn't drag across your eyelid when your applying it. The only downside to this is that it doesn't last long on your waterline or tightline, so I have to re-apply it during the day. But all in all, it is a great product and definitely worth the money.

The next product is probably my favourite out of the four products I am sharing with you. It is the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation in the colour 100 Ivory. I think that this lives up to everything Rimmel say it will be like. I love how it gives your skin a bit of a shimmer to make your skin appear more radiant and make you look more awake. When I started to use this, I immediately ditched my concealer because it covers over dark circles effortlessly! It also has SPF 15 in it so it protects you from the sun. Perfect for the summer months!

The next product is the Peep Show mascara by 17. I discovered this near the end of summer and I think it is fab! It has lengthening fibres in it so it makes your eyelashes appear longer than a normal mascara. I have definitely found a substitute for my all time fave mascara called 'Volumptalash' by Miners. I also think that 17 mascaras are very underrated and people should try them more often!

The final product I want to show you is a lipstick by MAC. I was lucky enough to find this with £4.50 off in a store called 'The Cosmetic Company Store' when I was on holiday in Cheshire last month. The colour is called Brick-o-La and it is a very dark, pinky-burgundy colour. Obviously, with my pale skin colour, I only dab the lipstick onto my lips to create a red-ish colour. I really like this product and when  I run out, I'll definately repurchase!

So there we have it! My summer beauty faves! Hope this blog post has been somewhat entertaining and interesting!
